Dear Peachtree Family,
I’m sure you all have noticed that we are in the midst of what we refer to as the “Dog Days of Summer.” The hot, sultry days we are experiencing remind me of my childhood home of Savannah,
With the escalation of the heat and humidity, my appreciation for our maintenance staff has increased as well. Let me give a hearty shout-out and well-done to Steve, Scott and Jackie as they have gone the second and third mile to keep our facility cool and comfortable.
You may have heard that on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 1 p.m., our area will experience a total solar eclipse. Meteorologists discourage us from viewing a solar eclipse as to not damage our eyes. The sun’s rays during the eclipse are so intense that special lenses should be worn to avoid retina damage. Do not forget to also protect the eyes of the children you love during the eclipse.
Speaking of bright, Paulette Kirby, is our August Employee of the Month. Paulette’s presence on Unit One lights up of the lives of all the Peachtree residents that she serves. She is a joyful treasure, a delight to work with and always there when any of us need her. We salute Paulette Kirby.
In closing, let me tell you all again that I appreciate you – staff and residents. It is truly a pleasure to serve with you each day.
Joe P. Lee, III
