Dear Residents, Families, Staff and Gaffney,
Perhaps you have taken notice of the heat and humidity of summer that is currently setting in. As you know, along with the warmth of summer, it is time to enjoy the local fresh produce that our farmers work hard to provide.
My family and I particularly enjoy the sweet and flavorful peaches that Cherokee County is well known for. The local peach orchards also provide us with picturesque views that adorn parts of our county. How appropriate it is, that this wonderful place where we live and work is called “Peachtree Centre.” We enjoy the “sweet” fellowship and encouragement of each other’s company every day.
Our employees are one of the most important ingredients in providing a sweet and caring environment for all of you that we serve. Last month, we recognized Steve Upton as our “Employee of the Month.” Our Unit 2 residents benefit from Steve’s great attitude and 15 years professional experience as a CNA. Steve is not alone in his dedication to his calling, and I look forward to celebrating Lori Parker as our employee of the month for July. The Unit 3 residents under her care are blessed to have such a gifted Physical Therapist attend to their recovery process.
We continue to be grateful to Dr. Alfred Ezman who delivers superb healthcare for our residents under his charge. I am also excited to welcome our new Medical Director, Dr. Andrew Simpson, and Nurse Practitioner Angela Brown to our team. Both Dr. Simpson and NP Brown come to us highly recommended, and we look forward to being the beneficiary of their professional talents.
In closing, I would like to say it is my honor and privilege to be in your company each day here at Peachtree. May God richly bless each of you.
