Dear Residents, Families and Staff:
It’s finally time for some lazy, hot summer days…time for ice cream, watermelon and cookouts!! I hope everyone celebrated Memorial Day by thanking a veteran . For by their service and the sacrifice of many, we have freedom!! It was a beautiful day to recognize all those currently in military and the veterans through the many recognition programs around the country.
There are some changes taking place at Peachtree. We are sad to see Betty Lou Painter, Staff Education Nurse, retire at the end of this month but we know she’ll volunteer for all our special events! Thank you for all you’ve done for the residents and staff of Peachtree!! Judy Crocker has resigned from the activities department and we are also sad to see her leave! She has done a great job in planning some wonderful activates for our residents. Good Luck to you both!!
June brings “Father’s Day” and we hope you will give your dad, uncle, grandfather or any other “father figure” a special hug, gift and your time on their day. The men of Peachtree will be treated to a “Men’s Brunch” on Thursday, June 16 th at 11:45 am, on the front porch…weather permitting. Happy Father’s Day!
Some of the month’s other special events include a “yo-yo” contest on Monday, June 6 th at 3:30 pm on Unit 2. On June 9 th , join us at 2:30 pm outside for a “Beach Party.” Come on out and do some shagging and have some fun!! A scavenger hunt will be held on the front porch at 2:45 pm on Wednesday, June 15 th . Sounds like fun and maybe some prizes!!??
Finally, on June 30th , my favorites…homemade ice cream at 2:30 pm followed by the singing talents of our very own Amanda Knowles! Join us for these and all events as you’ll see listed in the calendar which, by the way, is now on our new website: www.peachtreectr.com.
As always, keep Peachtree in your prayers,
